We provide the following complimentary tools for both Massachusetts high school and college educators. The afternoon featured with a panel of practitioners representing public accounting firms and industry. The AICPA provides this resource to help educators integrate the skills-based competencies needed by entry-level accounting professionals. These competencies, defined within the AICPA Core Competency Framework Project, have been derived from academic and professional competency models and have been widely-endorsed within the academic community. Clarification of New Section of Computerized CPA Exam: Business Environment and Concepts Get greater detail about the BEC section of the revised, computer-based Uniform CPA Examination. This detail is provided for the BEC section in recognition of the fact that approximately 70% of the content of the section is new material, and not currently tested on the paper-based CPA examination. Download this paper. Annual Educators Conferences: Two free conferences for Massachusetts educators are held each year. High school educators are invited to attend a full-day conference in the spring and college educators are invited for a half-day conference in the fall.
Annual Student Conferences: These conference both held in the spring are designed to inform students of the benefits of studying accounting in college and to broaden their knowledge of career possibilities within the accounting profession.
AICPA i-PACK This complimentary package includes a 15-lesson high school curriculum, the video: Takin' Care of Business, career guides and a classroom poster. Access to CPAs Representatives from the MSCPA are available to visit classrooms, participate in career days and shadowing programs, and serve as judges for student competitions. Participation at Statewide Conferences Information and materials from the MSCPA will be available at local conferences for educators at a booth sponsored by the MSCPA.
