CBT-e launch date set for January 1, 2011

The new Uniform CPA exam, known as CBT-e (Computer Based Test - evolution) will go into effect on January 1, 2011. CBT-e is a result of several years of monitoring the performance of the computerized CPA Examination from the perspective of candidates and state boards of public accountancy. It will bring substantial changes, including the testing of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the introduction of new task-based simulations and the transfer of communication skill testing to one section - Business Environment and Concepts (BEC).
