In the Oceanside High School class of juniors and seniors, about a half-dozen said they will soon take out student loans to pay for college. The class separated into groups to discuss the different loans available and compare requirements, fees and repayment options. The student loan lesson Friday was part of a new graduation requirement for Oceanside students - a semester-long course in personal finance to learn life skills from dealing with bank accounts to investing to the differences between financing or leasing a car.
